The SBC Panel System

Stacked stone walls that go up with a nail gun.

Laid stone needs a mason, mortar, scaffolding and a footing to carry the weight. The SBC wall panel system is cast concrete stone in lightweight panels — cut with a wood blade, fixed with nails or screws, straight onto the wall. Why it wins

Cut it like wood. Hang it like siding.

This is the whole argument, and it is the reason the system took first place at the World of Concrete. Real stone is a trade. This is a carpentry job — which means a contractor who has never laid a stone in his life can quote the work, and finish it in a fraction of the time.

Patterns and colourways

The panels themselves.

Panels are cast from real stone, so the face carries the irregularity of the original rather than a repeating mould pattern. Colour is worked into the cast rather than sprayed on top, which is why the same pattern can read as sandstone, slate or desert rock.

Installed

Houses, commercial buildings and one very large curve.

The panels weigh a fraction of laid stone, so they go where stone cannot: over existing stucco, onto framed walls, around curves, and up buildings that were never designed to carry a stone facade.
