Concrete countertop forms and form liners.

Edge forms are what make a poured top read as solid stone rather than a coating. Form liners do the same job on a wall — retaining blocks, siding, plank floors, accent walls and water walls.

SBC 2-inch Chiseled Edge concrete countertop form liner in reusable polyurethane, made in the USA and designed by founder Bryan Gauthier.

A flat square edge announces itself. A cast profile — chiselled, fractured, ogee — is the detail that makes the eye read the whole slab as stone, and it is the part most first attempts get wrong. The liner goes into the form before the pour, so the edge is cast in one piece with the top rather than glued on afterwards.

The same liners work vertically. Pressed into a wall pour or an overlay they turn plain block into siding, and they are how the plank floors and water walls elsewhere on this site were made.

Each liner is cast from a real broken stone edge. The polyurethane strip goes into the form; the concrete comes out with the stone’s face.
